Artist statement and CV

Artist statement

My art visualizes my soul.

I believe that our souls contain recorded information of the things we inherited from the ancestors. In other words, souls are data aggregation from our long personal histories and they make parts of who we are.

To resemble my soul, which contains many scars, bruises, wrinkles and stains, I scratch, erase, paste materials, add varieties of brush strokes, scrape paints with knives and needles, drop some ink and splash some water on canvas.

I consider my paintings as a mean to show my personal stories painted with a visual language that I created. I speak to my artworks through my personal iconography, symbols, scribbles and lines, which will also be spoken to the audience. Through my paintings, I love sharing my life with people from all ages, genders and nationalities without any cultural and language barriers.

Art saved my life in unspeakable ways, so to express my gratitude, I will keep painting until the day I leave this material world as I keep exploring and cherishing different dimensions of my deeper self.

Like a child trying to catch a beautiful butterfly and getting lost in a forest. I am traveling into my inner landscape searching for the beautiful butterfly.
